The New Hanover County Democratic Party - Stonewall

The Stonewall Democrats is a grassroots organization eatablished for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals. We work to put fair-minded Democrats into office by educating the LGBT community, and others, about the differences between the political parties. This includes mobilizing the LGBT community to get out and campaign and vote by standing up against the Republicans when they attack the civil rights of the LGBT community. The Stonewall Democrats are the people who get access to Democratic candidates and elected officials and keep them focused on standing up for the equality of LGBT families.

We meet the first Thursday of each month, 5:30 PM, at the Old Book Store at 249 N. Front Street. Our meetings, and membership are open to all LGBT and straight allies committed to achieving quality for all and are registered as an Independent or Democrat.
