2011 Municipal Elections

Local races may not get the money and media attention that state and federal races get, but they have just as much - if not more - immediate impact on our every-day lives. And that’s one reason people say, “All politics is local.”

The filing period for running for municipal office runs from July 1 to July 15. In the City of Wilmington, the seats of Mayor Bill Saffo, Laura Padgett, and Ron Sparks will be on the ballot.

One-stop voting runs October 20 – November 5. Election Day is November 8.
